A beach in Shanghai?!?! What?. One of the best things about China is that they are known for producing fake things. If they don’t have it, they will be glad to replicate it. Right off the dirty Nanpu river lies the  “Beach” once a docking area, now filled with imported sand from Sanya.  Some call it the sand pit by the river, other call it paradise. Regardless, it was a nice get away from the concrete jungle of urban Shanghai.  I met up with a couple of my friends to go to this beach party that was produced by the entertainment company “Ice Cream Truck productions” who provided multiple djs on the turn table. With the sun out and at hot, as ever, it was nice to finally soak up some Vitamin D while playing sand volleyball, sipping on some drinks and relaxing and  of course hanging out with friends. You know what they say. The best things in life are free.
